I ordered and,on November 11th, received Trainz Simulator 2010 Engineers Edition from Amazon. When loading the game I found that setup asked for a Serial Number. As the reviewist before me wrote, I tried every number I could find on the box, in the DVD case, on the small instruction sheet, and on the DVDs (there was no manual enclosed), but to no avail. Finally, after many e-mails to Amazon, the game manufacturer, another gaming website, I called Amazon and was told they were out of replacements for the game, but would give me a refund when I mailed it back. Fine, until I noticed that I had to pay the postage on the return of a defective product. Insult on top of injury.
Usually very happy with Amazon, but not right now!!

I bought this game for my son for his birthday. Being he don’t have a computer that can carry the required graphics, he plays it on my pc. I had some difficulty getting it to run without freezing. Trick was to set the game from “open GL” to “Direct X” format. Played excellent after that. My system components are, AMD Athlon dual core 64bit, graphics are: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 gig ddr3, OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit, RAM: 4 gig OCZ Gold. This games details are really good. Even got some really old locomotives, and some new ones of UPRR. My son plays this for hours.

Got Trainz Simulator 2010 Engineers Edition today..Cant load it..gets to one point and asks for a serial number..I went to the support area and says it located on CD Cover or on Cd..I have typed EVERY number on the box..CD sleeve and on CD(actually a DVD)and it wont let me past the box listed for serial number..Got a flight sim game that had the same way of loading and there were stickers all over the inside of the Plastic cover box..so it loaded very easily..I cant find what they on here so far….If later I figure it out with the Company I will give a real review.

Märklin From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Gebr. Märklin & Cie. GmbH or Märklin (MÄRKLIN or MAERKLIN in capital letters) is a German toy company, founded in 1859. Although it originally specialised in doll house accessories, today it is best known for model railways and technical toys. In some parts of Germany, the company’s name is almost synonymous with model railroads. In 2009 Märklin celebrated its 150th anniversary. Märklin filed for bankruptcy on 4 February 2009, but on 5 February 2010 announced a return to profitability. The Märklin System The Märklin system is the technique of using a third rail concealed in the roadbed with only small studs protruding through the ties of the track. The two outer rails are connected electrically. This provides the simplified wiring enjoyed by larger gauges—such as for reverse loops—without seriously detracting from the realism of the track because only two of the rails are visible. Because the two outer rails are not electrically isolated from each other, however, some do not consider Märklin’s system to be a true three-rail system. However, older sections of ‘M-Track’ do have an actual conductor rail rather than studs. This older system is compatible with newer trains, although the reduced clearance for the pick-up shoe can sometimes cause running difficulties. The Märklin system has some incompatibility with other manufacturers’ H0 trains. Because the wheels on Märklin’s cars are not insulated, it causes shorts if its cars … Video Rating: 5 / 5
