LEGO Duplo Thomas at Morgan’s Mine
Bought this for my 3 year-old son. My son likes to play with this, but I was a little disappointed that it did not come with assembly instructions. Although assembly of the train was easy and could be done without isntructions, there were no helpful instructions on how to replicate the decorations on the cave as presented on the box. Not a big deal, but my son wanted to make it look exactly like the picture on the box and the picture on the box does not provide enough close-up detail to be able to figure it out in a short amount of time.

Thomas is made up of four pre-fab pieces that press together easily. My son learned how to do it in a few tries. He couldn’t figure out how to build the flowers and trees on the hill though..
This set really has nothing to do with a mine; it is just a plastic molded tunnel.
Thomas comes apart very easily, so that may frustrate some kids. My son just happily puts him back together again.

My mom bought this for my 3 year old and we were surprised by how much it was compared to what is was. The top of the tunnel only has a place for one lego piece (it has 4 circles in a square) and so when you stack legos on it, they are wobbly. There are no other places on the tunnel to stack legos. Thomas seems to fall apart quite easily and makes for easy frustration for little kids. I wouldn’t recommend this toy for your Thomas lover. Maybe if it was about $10-$15 less.
