In 2008 senior Iranian military official has rejected the speculations that the US and Israel might launch an attack against the country.“The enemy does not have the courage to carry out military action against our country. Islamic Revolution GuardsCorps (IRGC) naval commander, Admiral Morteza Saffari told reporters onTuesday. Saffari said the IRGC Navy was ready to a give a ‘crushing response’to any aggression. He said that Iranian forces have pinpointed the enemy’s weakness, devised the best defensive strategy, and equipped themselves with ’smart and sophisticated military hardware.
In 2006 they said something similar: Iran’s enemies will not dare launch a military strike on the country’s nuclear installations because of the organised radical Islamists ready to defend the ruling theocracy, the country’s Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar told military commanders in the western city of Khorramabad in 2006

“Iran has by now enough trained operators and scientists that it would be impossible to decapitate the program by persuading the leading scientists to defect or otherwise making them disappear,” says Mark Fitzpatrick, a nuclear non-proliferation expert at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. “But in any fledgling nuclear weapons program, there are a small number of key scientists who can make the critical breakthroughs,” -Mr. Fitzpatrick
Is Iran being cocky because they know if the U.S does a preemptive strike on them, Russia, China and North Korea will go to war with united states. I think that is the reason. World War 3. Iran, russia, china and north korea they all have nuclear weapons. It wont surprise me if there is closed door meetings with these countries on going to war with us the United States
@ answers saying iran has the right to do what they want. They have to follow international laws and U.N. global nuclear regulations. Nuclear weapons are extremely dangerous and in the wrong hands can be lethal to any country. Iran made threats to U.S. before and there lying about the uranium so there is reason for some serious concern
